Columbus Audubon was donated a unique wetland habitat in south-central Ohio. The group wanted signage throughout the wetland that would inform visitors about the layout of the property, its indigenous plants, and resident and migratory birds. The information design challenges were to develop lively copy for a lay public and create signage that was weather resistant and, because of its remote location, vandal-proof.

We worked with a maker of an ‘impervious’ special-process material that also allowed the signs to be created with full color graphics and photos. The signage included a color-coded aerial map of the various habitat types on the site.
